About Our Products

Q: Where do your sarees and textiles come from?

A: Every piece is manufactured in Banaras - never sourced from Surat or other mill hubs. We work directly with local weavers and looms to bring you authentic Banarasi craftsmanship.

Embroidery and surface embellishments are done in house in Delhi-NCR.

Q: Are your products handwoven or machine-made?

A: We offer both varieties. Whether handwoven or machine-made, every piece is made right here in Banaras. Each product description specifies the weaving method, so you always know what you're buying.

Q: Do you offer other items besides sarees?

A: We will be adding more options other than sarees in our upcoming collections.

Q: How accurate are the product photos compared to the real item?

A: We photograph our products mostly in natural light, with occasional use of artificial lighting for certain shots. While we take great care to preserve true colour accuracy, please note that screens vary — phones, laptops, and monitors can all display slightly different tones for the same image. As a result, the colour you see on your screen may differ slightly from the actual product.

Q: I am told Banarasi sarees are very delicate. How do I maintain them?

A: Banarasi fabrics are precious and deserve gentle, mindful care. Here are our top tips:

  • Dry clean, don't wash at home. While the silk or cotton base is naturally washable, hand-dyed colours may bleed. We recommend dry cleaning and storing your garment wrapped in clean, soft, white cotton cloth.
  • Air it out after wearing. Once you've worn your saree, lehenga, or dupatta, air it out within 24 hours.
  • Check before storing. Look for stains or food particles — these can attract insects or damage the fabric over time.
  • Keep away from humidity. Zari tends to oxidize in humid conditions, so store your garments in a dry space.
  • Skip direct perfume contact. Perfume chemicals can cause discolouration on the fabric — spray on your skin instead, and let it dry before wearing the garment.
  • Iron from the back. This protects the embroidery and embellishments.
  • Avoid ironing the same folds repeatedly to prevent fibre wear over time.
  • Let it dry fully before storing. If you use steam, make sure the garment is completely dry before folding it away — this protects both the fabric and the zari from oxidation.
Q: Do you offer customisation or embroidery on blouses or sarees?

A: Yes, we do! Customisation is available depending on time, design feasibility, and your budget. Reach out to us at info@sixivvorybyudita.comwith your requirements, and we'll let you know what's possible.

Q: Do you offer fall and pico services?

A: Yes! All our sarees come with a basic cotton fall as standard, along with neat ironing before dispatch. If you have specific requirements: a particular fall fabric, picoting, or anything else — just mention it in the order notes or reach out to us at info@sixivvorybyudita.com and we'll take care of it.

Please note this may involve an additional cost.

Orders & Payments

A: Add your items to the cart and check out. You'll receive an order confirmation by email.

A: All major cards, UPI, and net banking.

A: At the moment, we don't offer Cash on Delivery as a payment option.

A: Contact us at info@sixivvorybyudita.comas soon as possible — we'll help before your order ships.

Shipping & Delivery

Q: How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

A: Delivery timelines depend on your location and whether your order includes any customisation.

Standard dispatch: Orders without customisation leave our facility within 24–48 working hours. Please note our shipping partners operate Monday through Saturday, so orders placed just before a weekend may see dispatch begin the following working day.

Once dispatched, expect:

  • Metro areas: 3 - 4 business days
  • Smaller towns/cities: 3 - 7 business days

If you've requested customisation, your dispatch date will shift based on the time needed to complete the work — we'll keep you informed along the way.

Q: Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship in India only.

Q: How do I track my order?

A: You'll receive a tracking link by email/SMS once your order ships.

Return & Exchange

Q: Can I return a product if I don't like it?

A: Returns and exchanges are only accepted in cases of damage or an incorrect item being delivered. Please note that minor colour variation or slight irregularities in the weave are natural characteristics of handloom textiles, not defects.

If you notice genuine damage or a design mismatch, reach out to us within 48 hours of delivery at +91-8826630531. We'll respond within 48 hours (on working days) and guide you through the next steps, including how to email us with the required details.

Important: An unboxing video is mandatory for any damage, defect, or incorrect-item claim. Without a clear unboxing video showing the product condition as received, we won't be able to process a return or exchange.

Q: How does the exchange process work?

A: For damaged or incorrect items reported within 7 working days of delivery, we offer an exchange or merchandise credit — never a direct refund. Merchandise credit can be used toward any future purchase and remains valid for 6 months from your original order date. Call us at +91-8826630531 to get started, and we'll walk you through the email process.

Q: What can I exchange my product for?

A: You're welcome to exchange for a different colour, design, or product, based on what's currently available or arriving in future stock.

Q: Are customised products eligible for return or exchange?

A: No. Any product that has been customised — including fabric, technique, or embroidery changes — is final sale and not eligible for return, exchange, or refund.
